Works well for the price.
Obviously this is a budget cordless strimmer, but works well for the price although the construction is not as hefty as more expensive models.

Cordless Grass Trimmer
I like that it's a cordless trimmer and the battery is decent. But it doesn't cut the grass at the edge in a straight line. And i found it difficult to cut the grass against the fence and wall.. I found I had to keep pulling the cutting line out every so often because it would have broke or worn out.

Core service co.uk have spare batteries. The charges are out of stock as of 18th Sept 2024. No idea when or if they will get this back in stock.
Hi, I was wondering the same and just googled it. You can buy spare parts, including the battery, on the Coreservice.co.uk website mentioned on the bottom of the manual pages. I cannot put the URL here as all the special characters are removed in the Argos text box. In the Coreservice homepage, just select Spare Parts, Brand Challenge, then CHALLENGE 18V LI-ION CORDLESS GRASS TRIMMER in the results list.

Hi Norfolkman
Challenge 23cm Cordless Grass Trimmer - 18V:
Having checked the instructions for the trimmer, the cutting angle can be changed. This will allow cutting along the edge of the path, up to the wall. However, when striking the wall, this will cut the cord and may use more.
Thank you for using Q&A
