Make sure if you're eligible for a Sumup account!
Bought this item to take card payments for our community music band. Sumup refused to set up an account as we are not a registered charity. Additional information provided to Sumup, but they would not change their mind. This rendered the machine totally useless and was returned to Argos who were excellent and refunded our payment in full. To sum up, don't use sumup!

Great for business
So pleased that I purchased this. I usually take cash at my market stall, but as less and less people are using cash, I thought it was about time that I got a card reader. This was so simple to set up, and I used it the very next day. Really easy to take card payments, plus Apple and Google payments. Get paid extremely quickly (the next day if you take out an account with them - I didn't - but still get paid within 2 days. Very little commission taken too. Wish I'd have bought one sooner.

Slow in processing
It's slow in processing every time we connect takes couple of seconds to show the amount and process the payment. Didn't like the speed. When trier to return Agros didn't accept as it was used once.
