Would I purchase this train again? Abso-tootly! Great on the floor but loses a mark for being slightly poorly balanced, so it rocks up occasionally when climbing steeper tracks.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Thomas & Friends Talking Diesel Toy Train Engine: I just confirmed that the carriage cars or cargo cars as they are also called can be unhooked and hooked to a different motorized engine.

The supplier has advised the following for the Thomas & Friends Talking Motorised Kana Train Engine Toy:
"Regrettably, we do not have any information if the Thomas & Friends Talking Motorized Kana Train Engine Toy will be compatible with the wooden BRIO train track as this is not manufactured by Mattel".
They do advise that you may wish to contact Brio and see if their track will work with other brands' trains.
