Fantastic upgrade
I replaced a older soundbar setup Harmon canon samsung as woofer stopped working. This is amazing great surround and unbelievable bass from the sub well worth the money

Sleek looking and a heavy piece of kit. Sounds far better than TV but not as good as a decent home cinema separates system (obviously). Worth the price because of the generous cashback offer.

Amazing Sound - once you get past the Sync Issue
So we've had this for a few weeks now - and i must say, now that it's up and running, the sound from this system is just amazing. Saying that - i spent nearly a week trying to get the sync issue with Samsung TV sorted. I called Samsung support and they were hopless. if you google sync issue the internet is awash with it. Anyway after setting the soundbar up with HDMi out of eARC and into the soundbar and then into the TV settings and set to Bypass sound - it eventually synced. Dolby 5.1 sounds great but when you get ATMOS = it goes to another level. set it up with the Samsung app - as it's much easier to sort all the levels and settings. Definitely worth £800!

Great but sub placement is key!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Traded my long serving Bose cinemate for the Q800D as I wanted more features and atmos, at first I thought I'd made a terrible decision due to the sound just not filling my room at all, I could've beat my chest and created more bass than the system was giving out, was really considering my options of a return but then I did some reading and position if the sub reigns heavy on how this system hits you, my Bose filled the room no matter the location but now I've moved the sub behind my sofa into a corner with room around it and OH MY DAYS, the vast improvement of immersion and bass is incredible, to the point I've had to turn it down, the surround sound is average but room filling even at lower levels, with the Bose the bass was too much at lower levels killing off any vocals in normal TV viewing, the Samsung just betters it by having full control either via phone or remote control, remote control is small and sleek, sound bar itself is quite low profile and doesn't get in the way of the TV sensors Overall it's very pricey but if you love films and want to feel the film as much as watch it this is for you
