I bought this electric blanket to replace a similar one from Slumberdown that had lasted for years. Im very happy with this one. I love that you can heat up the foot area separatly from the body. It has a thick cover so I cant feel the wires. This cover zips off so it can be washed and goes back on after washing without any trouble. Another useful feature is the timer. There's no need to be cold in bed with this product.

Bought this on Friday 15/05/2026. It's very comfortable & warmed up quick, It's a single as husband doesn't like electric blankets so all for me. The elastic straps fit around the double bed easily. The electric cable plug is on the left looking up from bottom of bed & I sleep on the right so I had to put the cable round back of mattress to plug it in, which means the control panel is under my pillow. I turned the blanket over but the material was not as cosy. Why can't the plug be universal and be in the top middle to suit everyone?

Toasty warm
This has made a huge diffference to bedtime. Switched on 30 mins before getting into bed to takes the chill off of the bedlinen. My husband says the warmth really helps his back after a day at work. I find it helps me relax and drift off. The 1 hour setting is plenty long enough for us all though we’ve not tested this on a cold winter night. The dual control means we can each have it to suit. We don’t feel the element at all through the thick covering.

"We do not recommend using an electrical blanket with a foam mattress. This is simply because the direct heat will discolour the foam over time."

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Slumberdown Perfectly Warm Luxury Electric Blanket - Single.
When purchasing a single blanket, it should include only one controller unit and one plug. Only one controller unit can be connected to the blanket and then plugged into the wall.
If you have received an extra controller and plug in error, you are welcome to keep them in case your original controller unit becomes damaged in the future.

Assuming you mean the part where the controller connects to the blanket here, this sits in the very top corner of the blanket. You should not then feel this under your back.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Slumberdown Perfectly Warm Luxury Electric Blanket - Single: The blanket can be used with a smart plug. However, the controller will automatically come on at the highest heat setting and timer so they would still need to manually use the controller to adjust to there preferred settings.
We also like to remind customers this is an electrical appliance and the blanket should not be turned on when no one is home to supervise the product. They must take extra care to unplug their smart plug before going on holiday and never turn it on via an app before they have arrived at home.
