Looks good but has design flaw
This looked good when I made it up and we liked the rolling drawer and storage space at the bottom end. However, the platform edge (and especially the sharp corner) which projects around the mattress is hard and unforgiving - a potential hazard if anybody catches it or falls on it.

Flawed design detail spoils this bed.
This looked good when I made it up and we liked the rolling drawer and storage space at the bottom end. Our grandaughter came to stay this weekend and only then did I realise that the platform edge (and especially corner) which projects around the mattress projects is a potential hazard if anybody catches it or falls on it. I bruised my leg on it. I think I would have asked for an exchange if I had realised this earlier. I have made it safer by buying a length of foam pipe insulation.I cut it lengthways and fitted it along the entire edge. Safer but not a great look!

Bed is great, putting slats together was not
Bought this bed for guest room, building was fine until putting together the bed slats which was a nightmare. The ends were not easy to put together as soon as you try to put the other side, it was quite difficult as they were stapled in the wood and not detached and you had to bend it slightly to push it in. There wasn’t much room to bend as it was narrow and difficult as you put more slats in. There was also a problem with the hex screws as if you screw it in and then screw it back out, the hex hole becomes damaged and I had to use a damaged screw reversal head to take it out. So currently I have 2 damaged screws that I had to replace using spare screws that I had in my toolbox. And when putting in the complete wood mattress into the bed, it was a bit tight but managed to push it into the bed frame.

Sadly not, the pre-drilled holes only allow the drawer to be place one side.

The supplier has advised the following for the Rudi Single Storage Bed - White:
“ From the supplier's point of view this doesn't have restrictions in place, however for this to be a kid's bed it should be no higher then 15cms. ”

Rudi Single Storage Bed - White and Grey.
Having checked, the panels are pre-cut with pre-drilled screw holes that would only allow the drawer to be on the one side of the bed. It cannot be swapped over to the other side.

Completely untrue. The drawer can only be on the right side. Overpriced flimsy rubbish, pathetic instructions, shockingly poor quality. Arrived today, already broken beyond repair. Do not buy

The supplier has advised the Habitat Kids Rudi Single Storage Bed - White & Yellow drawer can be mounted on the left side of the bed only.
