About this product
The Silentnight Superking Half Ottoman Bed Base creates an organised bedroom by tucking away duvets, pillows and seasonal bedding out of sight. The half ottoman design lifts from the end for quick access to everything stored inside. It's handmade in the UK, a Silentnight product built with experience that goes back 75 years. The charcoal fabric finish fits in with a wide range of bedroom colours and styles. Chrome glide feet lift the base slightly off the floor and help you move it around when you need to clean or rearrange.
The end lift opens smoothly and stays raised while you sort through what's inside. Storage space inside measures 22 centimetres high, 176 centimetres wide, and 95 centimetres deep, enough for bulky bedding and extras. The base stands 38 centimetres high, a practical height for sitting on the edge. Headboard fixings are included if you want to attach one separately. Comes with a 5 year guarantee. Minimal assembly required, two people recommended. Mattress and headboard sold separately.

Very basic but acceptable - the two base boxes are held together by plastic "U" clips which concerns me about their longevity. Attractive to look at but sadly of less quality than the one it replaces. The sliders appear to be better than the wheels I've previously been used to.

Wanted a new bed base to go with silent night mattress ,also purchased the headboard to match in the charcoal colour when arrived all I had to do was put the feet into place which was quite easy and which made the easier to manoeuvre well made .

Useful storage bed
I bought a silent night half ottoman divan base over 10 years ago and it is still like new. I decided to purchase another one when I was replacing a spare bed which had wooden slats. The quality is very good and the half ottoman storage is really useful. I find the solid base supports the mattress better than wooden slats. The ottoman part of the bed is very heavy so needs two or more people to move it but it was fairly easy to join the two halves together. Instructions and screws came with the bed. Very happy with my purchase.

it was ok it does the job but the 6 metallic feet are a little bit flimsy when you have to move it around.

Reliable divan bed
I have purchased this divan bed to replace my new one. The 2 drawers seem good quality and the bed was easy to install. It is a nice colour too. I was able to assemble this myself.
