About this product
Accessed by an 8 digit code that's set by you, this tall safe provides protection to whatever you keep in it. A great option for a home office it has plenty of room for valuables and documents. The interior dimensions (H49.6, W34.6, D27cm) mean it's big enough to safely store A4 documents lying flat. So your important papers, like wills or birth certificates, won't be crumpled or curled. Its shelf means you can also fit an average sized laptop along with other valuables.
It comes with two override keys that can manually open the safe in the case of a power failure or forgotten pass code. These keys should not be kept inside the safe as spare keys are not available.
Its concealed hinges and 4mm thick door and 2mm thick steel walls make it strong and sturdy. For additional security, the safe can be floor or wall mounted. The back of the safe has pre-drilled holes for easy wall mounting and 5cm fixings that are ideal for fixing to masonry (stonework).
The floor of the safe is lined with a soft fabric that makes sure your valuables don't get scuffed or scratched while inside.

The override keyhole for the Argos Home Tall Electronic Steel Safe with Shelf is concealed behind a plastic cover. Here’s how you can locate it:
Look for a plastic cover on the front of the safe. This cover is often located near the keypad or the handle.
Remove the plastic cover to reveal the keyhole.
Insert the override key into the keyhole and turn it anti-clockwise while simultaneously turning the locking knob clockwise to open the safe.
