Great Little Sewing Machine
Bought as a replacement for my old Brother machine, which finally let me down after many years. The new one is basically the same model and is more than adequate for my needs. It doesn’t have loads of bells and whistles but has everything I need to deliver my sewing projects - Kindle cushions; garment repairs and alterations. The zig-zag stitch offers an acceptable solution for raw edges, especially since I don’t do enough sewing to warrant buying a specialist overlocker. All in all, it’s a great little sewing machine.

lovely new machine to replace an old one
I bought this last month and have just got round to setting it up. I did find setting the bobbin up a bit fiddly but the rest of the upper threading was the same as my last machine. I have used it this morning with zig zag stitch to repair some jeans and the results were excellent! Very happy with my purchase

Brother sewing machine
I bought this for my partners 11th birthday after hearing that she would like to be a fashion designer when she’s older and after searching for a suitable machine and reading reviews I was led back to Argos where I picked this and a sewing set up for her. Since having her new machine she hasn’t stopped using it and is already competently making key pouches for the entire family! It’s a cracking little machine and at a great price. I also took out the extended warranty which covers accidental damage and any snapped sewing needles so overall it was a little bargain! Highly recommended.

A great beginner sewing machine
I've got this machine as my very first one, me being a super beginner. It's got plenty of options but enough that won't overwhelm, and it's got a few little useful extras. It's easy to get started and use. The brand looks to be very popular, so there are various matching additional accessories available out there, for example more types of feet.

Yes, you can sew denim with this sewing machine, but a denim needle (also called a jeans needle) in size 16 (100/16) is recommended for thicker denim. You can also use a universal needle in size 14 (90/14) for midweight denim.
