The Birlea Rio Double Wooden Bed Frame provides a solid resting place that fits naturally into your bedroom. Made from solid pine with a white washed finish, it acts as a calm centrepiece without overpowering the room. The sturdy frame and solid slatted base provide firm support and allow air circulation to keep your mattress fresh. Designed for UK standard mattresses, it stands 85cm high at the headboard with 26cm space beneath for cleaning or storage. The 26cm siderails keep your mattress secure without making it hard to get in and out.
The sprung wooden slats flex slightly with your movements for lasting comfort through the night. The white washed pine finish brings a clean, adaptable look that works with existing furniture or as the starting point for a fresh bedroom scheme. It's part of the Rio collection, so you can match it with other pieces if you want a coordinated look. Self-assembly required with two people recommended for easier handling. All fixings and instructions provided. Supports a maximum user weight of 220kg across the frame. Comes with a manufacturer's one year guarantee.

Looks great, but take care with the instructions!
Really pleased with the overall quality and look of the bed. I've taken a star off as you MUST check the bolts carefully. It all seemed well ordered and the instructions clear. Until we realised that two sets of different (that look almost identical) bolts are in the same pouch and the instructions told us to use the different sizes the wrong way round. Just make sure that you check which long bolts go through the half-moon fixings before you put them through the frame. After a bit of tearing our hair out we sussed it out and are happy with the result (I also like the addition of the handy Allen key ratchet)

Awful
Most disappointing big purchase I've ever made. They wouldn't allow my full review so, I will hazard this: The package arrived at my neighbours damaged, so much so that the instructions were ripped and I had to stick them back together. This is an extremely heavy package. There were parts missing from the bed which we had to wait extra time for to be sent. The construction of the bed is flimsy. You cannot move it around easily as it is essentially in parts that will disconnect. It is poorly finished, with splinters of wood poking out. There were no pilot holes drilled for the slats, all of the 48 screws must be screwed in by hand or you'll invalidate the guarantee. Not worth what I paid in the slightest.

We bought 2 of these beds, no notice of delivery, just arrived, both were terrible quality, goods arrived damaged, headboard warped, multiple emails to enable a return and still awaiting refund

Not worth the buy
Bought for my teen daughter. It's way too flimsy. The headboard is pointless being as thin as cardboard and so low it doesnt provide any kind of support.

Well made
Would be perfect but butterfly wing nuts do not go down 4or 5 threads on bolt. Just two,and rattles with gap. If you try to turn using wood frame to hold wing nut,it rips into wood. Changed all wing nuts for nut and bolts . That part is bad design,but bed and mattress very good.
