Brilliant. Not even taken it out of the box, Returning it. To be fair, it was replacing exactly the same model, but when I took it down I saw it only need a little sanding and three coats of paint. So, cheers Argos, keep up the good work.

Great, solid unit
I bought this to replace one I had recently bought but I’d fallen apart as soon is it went on the wall. This one is great, easy to assemble and much more solid. Holds more things and easy to attach to the wall.

Better with my 3 hacks to improve the durability
This is the second time we have bought this cabinet. The first time was 15 years ago and we were very pleased with it so when we were refurbishing our bathroom on a budget we decided to buy it again. It’s a small bathroom, it suited our needs and it meant no new wall fixings. HOWEVER on opening it up we quickly realised the quality of the parts supplied had declined. The wooden dowels needed to fit the sides to the back had been replaced with plastic ones that are too small and so construction was flimsy at best so we took it apart to return it. But we thought about it and decided we wanted to keep it and the only way to ensure it’s securely built was to buy new wooden dowels that actually fit. (Hack 1) They cost £1.79 from our local independent hardware shop. This was the only way to ensure solid construction. As this is constructed from MDF we noticed our old cabinet had suffered damage from moisture on the top from our electric tooth brush (yes the bathroom is that small the socket is next to the cabinet) so Hack #2 I had done clear sticky back plastic (the type you cover books) and used it to cover the top of the cabinet so making it water proof. And obviously it’s invisible. Hack #3 I used some Wham trays to store small items, razors and teeth cleaning bits on the shelves. It stops the shelves getting wet and holds all those bits neatly in the shallow cupboard shelves. Photo of trays but not of the dowels and sticky back plastic as there’s nothing to see. So in short it’s not a great product but with a few little hacks it can be massively improved.

The left shelf heights are adjustable, each shelf height can be adjusted to one of three preset levels. The right hand shelves are fixed.
The shelf spaces on the right are, from top to bottom, 16cm, 16cm, 15.8cm. This side is 17cm wide.
