Using a precision moulding process has allowed us to gently profile the enclosure providing a fresh new look and the perfect surface for our new Light Cream and Espresso finishes. With acoustic treatment the enclosure is sturdy and acoustically inert, providing the ideal housing for our electronics and NS+ driver. Enhancing the design further is a beautiful hand-crafted slatted wood grille. This brings added sophistication and creates a timeless Eames like vibe, but overall, the design is still unique and distinctly Ruark.
Our crisp OLED display clearly shows time, alarm and programme information and auto adjusts to suit ambient light levels, making it a perfect bedside companion.
A New Standard in Sound. Our latest neodymium NS+ driver, provides a smooth and extended frequency response and in R1 Mk4's tuned enclosure delivers an impressive bass performance. Driving the system is a punchy Class A/B linear amplifier for exceptional dynamics and with adaptive equalisation an eminently listenable sound is provided at all volume levels.

Best bedside clock radio by far!
So many cheap alternatives with average sound at best. This clock radio has great sound, auto dimming lights, sleep timer, alarm... My kids thought I was old and now they say "yeah its ok" as I catch them listening whilst using my ensuite. Highly recommended as this little unit packs a large punch!

Simplicity Met Excellence
I bought this nice desktop alarm clock and am very impressed by the high quality it emanates in both audio and construction of the device. Our fourth Ruark radio
The build and sound qualities are sublime as I’ve come to expect from Ruark Audio. Four stars and not five because it is not possible to completely dim the display in standby mode. In a bedroom, even on the lowest setting, the display is just too bright. Fortunately, my wife’s knickers come to the rescue to cover the display at night!

Everything you want a radio to be!
Was looking to find a replacement for my last radio. Changed from a previous reputable brand to Ruark Mk4! Delighted with the ‘looks’ of this radio and the quality of the sound which easily fills a relatively large space.

A high quality, great looking DAB radio and alarm
I bought this because I enjoy listening to the radio when I wake up and when I go to bed, and wanted something that was simple, functional and looked great. This is a really great addition, high quality, great sound and intuitive and simple to use. No over engineering or complicated clicks or menu navigation, just simple and effective design.

Quality radio for a home office
Looking to update some old PC speakers and decided to risk for this radio instead. Even though it is compact and mono we find that the sound is really clear with a decent bass. Using the jack input it is also very easy to switch between radio and YouTube videos. Also looks great.

This doesn't have a remote control, 2 alarms for the week and the alarm is on until manually turned off.
