Not fit for purpose
Only good for cooking a handful of chips in as basket doesn't sit in fat properly. Gets worse every time we use it.

Really good fryer and reasonably priced
Love this one, I usually get plastic ones and they get so grimy. This is easy to assemble and clean.

Hi There
Russell Hobbs St/Steel Professional Deep Fat Fryer 19771
Having checked I can see you are not able to cook at 130. The temperature is from 160°C to 190°C.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Val B,
The dimensions of the basket are:
Height = 9cm
Length = 25cm
Width = 13.9cmm
Meaning this would not fit a 32cm long fish.
Thanks for using Q&A.
sorry the biggest fish you could fry is 27cm and that would be tight using the basket
Hi Donald,
This fryer is manufactured in China.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Mick,
It would be ok to store the oil in the fryer, however we do recommend changing the oil frequently.
Thanks for using Q&A
we change the oil regularly when needed as we only use for chips but we just keep the oil in fryer until we need to change , easy to change and it all comes apart to clean and it can go in dishwasher great little fryer , better than all the ones with lids this way you can see what you are frying
Hi Shirley,
The key is for the following:
To reset the thermal safety cut-out
1. Find the reset button access hole. It’s marked g on the rear of the power unit.
2. Inside the hole you’ll see a round button.
Thanks for using Q&A!
It's to reset your frier if it stops working :)
Hi shirley I have just asked my wife and she is no idea so I have had a look and you will find it is like a alun key and it fits all the screw so you can dismantle to clean hope this is useful and enjoy your fryer
Reset key for overheat sensor
Hi Chipman,
It is advised to use a high quality oil for this such as sunflower oil or corn oil.
Thanks for using Q&A!
You can use either but recommend filtering the fat after use. Easy to clean so no problem and kitchen roll is enough you don't need specific filters
Hi,
Only use OIL....we use sunflower oil.
Hope this answer is useful.
Hi Sandy
The lid must be removed from the fryer before use, keep it off while in use, and replace it only after the oil has cooled down fully.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A
Yes you can
Yes, I fry with the lid on
Hi Scott
I can confirm that this is safe to touch when its on as the outer part of this item does not get hot.
