Good power in small form
The sound is the signature BOSE output but, probably due to the speaker's size some of the mids are missing similar to other portable speakers of a similar size. The vocals are louder than the mids, which again is likely the constraints of the speaker size - get a larger one if this compromise is unacceptable to you - but it definitely has the ambience and bass to fill a room 👍👍👍 Great size and weight for portability. High quality build with a nice blue shade. Battery can go all day and the speaker seems tough enough to take small drops although i havent dropped it yet.

Really nice speaker, great sound, plenty of bass for it's size. Initial connect took a couple tries, but perhaps was doing something wrong as it connects seamlessly now and works esp well with Spotify. Easy to charge, portable - everything you want for a good price point.

I can advise the Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Black can be used for hands-free calls. When there is an incoming call, pressing the play/pause button will answer the call, and double pressing the play/pause button will decline a call. Double press the play/pause button while in a call to end it.

This Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker, when connected to your phone, will automatically play any audio that is playing through that phone.
To turn off Instagram sounds you would need to do so on the phone itself, as the speaker cannot distinguish between which apps the sound is coming from.
Alexa devices can be connected to Bluetooth speakers. This is done within the Alexa app. If you ask your Alexa device how to connect a speaker it will direct you to the next steps.

The Bose Connect app that you’d use to operate this from an iPhone requires iOS 13.0 or later. This should be compatible with an iPhone 12 as that uses iOS 14.1 up to iOS 18.4.
