Lovely piece of furniture
As I would expect from Habitat nice design with a real solid feel Hadn’t realised it was self assembly but it wasn’t too bad to put together apart from levelling the doors which took a while

This has those magnetic latches, the sort where you slightly push the door in and it springs open a little. From there you just pull it open with your fingers.

No, they don't stick out further than the side so you would be able to stand 2 units flush next to each other (I put a ruler flush to the side and down to the floor).
I have this sideboard and I have checked and can confirm that the legs do not stick out further than the sides so you can put them flush next to each other. I am very pleased indeed with my sideboard which is ideal for my space. Do check your delivery for any imperfections before you assemble it- we had to exchange the top piece but Argos arranged this quickly and it was not a problem.
