Mainly good but occasional problems
I've had the PC for several months now and in general its very good. Instant start-up compared to my old PC and no problems for 95% of the time. However, occasionally something goes wrong and the only way to sort it is the old IT Crowd advice of switch it off and on again. Typical problems are no sound through the speakers, losing communication with the broadband and not getting on to some websites. It may just be my lack of tech knowledge, but switching it off and on again always fixes it.

Does what is required
This was purchased to replace my father’s Windows10 PC especially because of the VGA connection which matched to his HP monitor. The tower is slightly smaller than the older model; the case a lot flimsier and, as commented elsewhere, there is a CD/DVD Drive (not yet tried) which appears similarly delicate. The set-up was initially straightforward, as it came with wired keyboard and mouse. But it took me some time to add additional programs/apps to make the environment as familiar as I could. I’m sure that we will have more settling-in, as this is written only ten days after installation. But so far so good.

Good Home Computer
Having been forced into buying a new computer due to the upcoming Windows 11 upgrade, I installed this computer 2 weeks ago. I really wanted a 16GB with a built in DVD Writer, but due to high demand I was unable to buy exactly what I wanted so I settled for this one. However, so far, I'm pleased with my purchase. It is faster than my old computer and I'm pleased to say, I CAN CONFIRM, it does have a DVD Writer installed, so I'm able to play music CD's and DVD's and see photographs stored on CD's. However, the DVD Writer is very flimsy and I'd recommend to treat it gently. As far as installation was concerned, it was fairly straightforward, if you've had a computer before, but it would be difficult if you had to rely on the user guide, there was a complete lack of information, it was absolutely hopeless and may as well not have been supplied.

Purchased to move to win 11.
Approaching end of win 10 so searched the web and found this at a great price and bought two of them. Still getting use to the changes.

Had to go back.
Unfortunately this computer kept freezing. My hubby is a techy expert and he tried everything but it wouldn’t get past the freezing. Found out later that HP have gone downhill from how they were. Probably back to building his own again now.

Excellent kit!
I needed to upgrade my desktop as my old one was a few years old and was increasingly having trouble coping with upgrades etc. and as a result had become very very slow setting up and operating. This new HP unit has cured all set up and operation is super fast. Deep joy!
