Compatible with the device. Better than using other controllers and much easier for the handheld experience. Works with app store games and emulators once you've configured the buttons.

Bought this right before travelling for 6 months. Absolutely love the thing and have used it loads. Have had zero issues despite a lot of use and travelling without any sort of case.

Great when working
Bought this about 6 months ago and initially it was great. Buttons were responsive and was ideal for XBox cloud gaming. The Backbone app is decent but don’t need to use it apart from calibration and controller function checks. Recently encountered an issue where left side controls stopped functioning unless backbone was extended to fully open position. Apparently a common issue where the connecting cables in the extendable part can get pinched. Currently sent back via Backbone manufacturer’s warranty for repair or replacement. Slightly disappointed that for the price there is a design flaw.
