Useful safe stairgate
This was the fourth one of these we have bought. Two for my son’s house and two for us for when they visit. With the extension it fits a wide stairway and makes the stairs inaccessible for toddlers, crawlers but still easily accessible for us. It took a bit of time to install.

Manufacturers generally do not recommend pressure‑fit gates at the top of stairs, because there’s always a risk of movement or loosening over time. A screw‑fit (wall‑mounted) gate is considered much safer in that location.
