Very safe and secure
I brought this to separate the dog from different rooms, I have now purchased a second for the bottom of the stairs, easy to fit, with tool supplied to make it extra tight, even comes with little holders you can screw to the wall to be sure it will not move. Perfectly fine without. You can even by an extension for this gate to help fit into wider spaces. Auto closes behind you and very easy to open even with one hand. Highly recommended

Light, strong and secure.
Easy to fit with very grippy pads and a neat spanner to tension the pads against the wall/post. Once tensioned correctly the door is secure but opens without too much fiddling (but childproof) and closes/locks very smoothly due to a nice ratchet action. Very light but seems strong.

Manufacturers generally do not recommend pressure‑fit gates at the top of stairs, because there’s always a risk of movement or loosening over time. A screw‑fit (wall‑mounted) gate is considered much safer in that location.
