About this product
When toddlers start pulling themselves up and exploring, doorways need a bit of backup. This screw-fit safety gate handles wider openings and has a double-locking handle that needs two actions to release (curious little ones won't figure it out easily). One hand is all you need to open it, and it swings both ways so you can move through without awkward shuffling. Comes with an extension for slightly wider gaps. A step-over bar sits at the bottom, with a wide walk-through section above.
The double-locking system means adults can open it quickly with one hand (press and lift), but children can't work out the sequence. It swings open in either direction, handy when you're carrying washing or a wriggling toddler. Screw-fit installation keeps it firmly in place. The manual closing system means it won't slam shut on tiny fingers. Suitable for children up to 24 months.

Tough and well made.
We use this at the top of our stairs despite a recommendation not to do so. It fits perfectly and is very secure. It is used infrequently so we didn't fit the cups. It still functions perfectly. It's really well manufactured and robust. It works exactly as described. Good value too.

OK, but becomes loose
Not as easy to install as a gate with bolts. The plastic disks seems to screw well and secure the gate, but a few days later, one is always loose again. Gate opening is easy, much better than other brands. All in all, OK gate, but rather they replace the disks with bolts

Excellent quality. A little fiddly to fit but only took a few minutes. Follow the instructions carefully and it all makes sense. Ensure that you keep the small 1mm piece of card provided. To set the gate up correctly. Once fitted it’s safe and really easy to use.

I have just bought this gate to use at the top of the stairs as it clearly states it is a Screwfix safety gate however the box says this is a pressure fit safety gate. I have also put this question to Argos.

Cuggl Safety Gate - White 341/6316
From the information in the video it shows that the cups are drilled into the wall/doorframe using one screw and then the gate itself fits into the cups and is tightened but the screw dials.
The video 2/5 shows how this is installed.
