Thi dishwasher replaced a 10 year old hotpoint, much improved features include a wider range of programmable options and a built is sliding cutlery tray which in itself is a massive improvement.

So far so good
Order process very straight forward and product so far seems good. Easy to fit, balance and secure. Door fitting is a bit of a faff but got there in the end. Noise wise it is noisier than our last one but not too bad. Not sure I'm sold on the internal layout yet. Get 5 of our dinner plates into the wider slots and the rest are too narrow to house the rest of the plates. The 3rd rack for cutlery is quite a fiddle and you end up with messy hands over the traditional cutlery holders. Does clean well though, has a good range of preset programmes and the auto door open feature is handy. Also has a dot on the floor so you know it's still running albeit you know from the sound. Good buy overall.

Don't like the Cutlery draw, but it's quiet
The cutlery draw is a pain, you have to carefully align each item into the slots and make sure spoons aren't bowl up. I've gone back to the basket that I had from the old machine and it seems much better. Also the machine has just broken after 6 monthd and I'm waiting for repair. I'd forgotten how awful Hotpoint service is, it's all about selling you insurance - hate that. Took about an hour just to book a repair. Machine is quiet but so slow, over 3 hours for normal wash.

Get your own fitter!
We bought this dishwasher after our last one couldn't be repaired- obsolete parts after 5 years! It's quiet and efficient but the fitter sent by Argos did not complete his job properly. The machine bounced about when opening the door and the integral door was not flush. We had to get a local joiner to fix the machine in place and pack the gaps on each side. It's fine now and working well thank goodness. We paid a lot for fitting and removal of the old one so this was most frustrating.

Hot point Dishwasher H71 HP42 L
I bought this a month ago. My husband installed it. He thought the instructions were pants and it took about 1-2 hours to fit the intergated machine. However the dishwasher itself is magic. Spotlesslessly clean. Very quiet and the red circle on the floor to says it’s on is a great idea. Love that it pops the door open at the end to aid the drying process.

Quietest dishwasher ever!
My new dishwasher has lots of washing options and a brilliant half-wash mode. I like that it opens automatically to aid drying when the cycle has finished. But the best feature is just how quiet it it! Hardly makes any noise - Hotpoint is a popular make for a reason! Would recommend to friends

Great machine
Bought a month or so ago. Fitted by Hotpoint installers who kinked the inlet pipe so that it didn't fill properly and shut down. They claimed to have tested it but they couldn't have. Hotpoint customer service were a nightmare. First spoke to a young man whose English accent was so hard to follow that I had to get him to repeat himself. Didn't understand what "slow down and repeat each word" meant. He wanted me to send a video clip of the machine. For God's sake why? I'd already given him the fault code so I knew what the problem was. In the end told me to call a different number after the weekend. It was then I found out that they have two numbers, one for machines less than 28 days old and another for more. Why? Do they have different numbers for people with red hair???? Eventually, after nearly two hours on live chat and phone, I persuaded Hotpoint to send someone to fix it. They arrived, told me what it was which I already knew and fixed it Machine is fine. I especially like the cutlery drawer instead of a basket, and the way the door pops open when finished.

Excellent dishwasher and does the job well
This is an excellent dishwasher. Fits good number of kitchen utensils of all sizes. When the machine is running, there is no sound at all. It does the job well in silence. I love the led light on the floor when the job is in progress. Absolutely impressed by Hotpoint.
