Not the best.
The material is very strange. Not the usual cotton/polycotton that you get with most duvet cover sets. This fabric causes the duvet inside to get twisted and tangled really easily. As you can imagine children who wriggle end up with a twisted and tangled mess in the mornings.

The reverse is a pale grey colour.

Cheap polyester. Horribly synthetic and not good for a duvet cover as its sweaty and the duvet slides around inside.
Hi, yes its the slippery material where the duvet cover does not stay in place. I bought this a few weeks ago and I hate it. The duvet never stays in place and my children are getting their legs caught in the material. Its not silk but iitsnot cotton either. Its the slippery stuff.
