quite expensive for a plastic bottle
Didn't know plastic bottles have a sell by date ? Or a use by date ? I didn't. I only noticed when I was cleaning my original bottle.Not cheap at £10 pounds each, and you can't just buy one Oh no you have to buy 2 at a time.One of which will sit in a cupboard and not get utilised.

Bought to replace existing original bottles
Bought these to replace the original bottle that came with the machine. As these bottles are plastic, they have an expiry date. This is easy to see on the bottle so then you know when to buy new ones. These are dishwasher safe which is handy to give them a good clean.

This was a replacement for some damaged bottles. However the staff were fantastic. I am disabled and neurodivergent. They helped me find and select the right product. They even checked to see if they were any similar items that were cheaper. They also explained about all the Argos support like insurance. What a fantastic experience. Take care - they do not fit older machines.
These are a new style bottle shape, they did not fit our machine and had to be returned for a refund. Apparently we need "Classic" 1 litre bottles, which I am still trying to source.

Stupid design but eventually works.
This must be a a stupid design error by sodastream ! You have to removed the drip tray in the sodastream gas filler in order to get the bottle in. But at least it will go in…. I expect someone got fired for this error.

Our supplier has confirmed that these are compatible with the Genesis model and you have to pull the carbonation nozzle towards you to screw the bottles in.
