Expired software
I bought this in hope to be able to keep an eye on my cat while I’m at work but the camera freezes and call functions are no longer supported. The browser also can’t run streaming from Netflix or Prime, just says you need to update the device; this isn’t an option as google will just tell you it automatically updates, the software is clearly unsupported and outdated. YouTube works, but for how long! So, If all you want an expensive paper weight with a clock feature that’ll play music, just not the songs you ask it to, then you should get this. Otherwise, don’t bother!

Great display, speaker and smart home control
I'm delighted with this Hub Max. Set up Was very easy. I was considering getting a digital photo frame to display and cycle through family photos but I'm so glad I got this instead. The 10 inch display makes a great digital photo frame, the speaker is good quality for streaming music and the unit is a great hub for controlling everything through Google Home and Google Assistant.

Nest Hub Max
Got this to" help out" in the kitchen. Replaced a Google mini speaker that is now elsewhere. Great size, some may find it large, but is suitable for me. Sound is good to great (to my ears)and is responsive to vocal commands. Screen is pleasing and large enough, seems responsive to touch. Although not exactly cheap, am more than happy with it.

What do you mean? it does not need a phone to work. But you can connect it to google home. Since Google is the mother of android I would assume it is working with android. And if you still question it I can assure you it works.
