Customers Say
The Tommee Tippee wearable breast pump offers convenience and hands-free operation, but many users report discomfort, weak suction, and issues with design and cleaning. Overall, it's a mixed bag with notable pros and cons.

Not a great pump for the money
Bought this pump and it is super uncomfortable and the suction is awful very weak and poor even after measuring to ensure I was using the correct parts and my midwife also checked this for me and thinks this is either a dodgy pump or not as good as it’s made out online. Very disappointed in this as I was really looking forward to it being delivered after treating myself to it with my last full wage before starting my maternity leave. The only think I liked is it can turn into a bottle straight away once expressed and the packaging etc is lovely but the actual pump is not for what it’s supposed to do. Ended up renting a pump from the hospital.

Hurts to use
Bought a couple weeks ago, used and was painful, ordered larger horns (the inserts) and still hurts to use. Manufacturer has been really helpful even when Argos refused to accept a return/replacement

Greats features and easy to use
Have been using this now for a couple of weeks: Pros- can control using app on phone or directly on pump. Portable and hands free. Nipple guided light for accurate fit. Can order different flange sizes for free from Tommee Tippee website. Can feed direct after pumping from collection pot. Good battery life. Cons- not the most discreet noise wise. Need a large bra to hold in place. Unable to get all the milk out of collection pots due to poor design a small amount of always wasted.

good piece of kit but there are some design flaws
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros - hands free - portable - discreet - light weight - luxury feeling piece of equipment - light to guide nipple into the centre of pump - can feed straight from the bottle you collect milk in - long lasting battery Cons - difficult to clean in the corners of the bottle - difficult to pour all collected milk out as there is no spout and it gathers in the corners - lining nipple up to get good suction takes quite a bit of practice as you can't see your nipple in the flange like traditional pumps - need quite a tight fitting bra to hold pump in place for good suction - not the quietest Overall good piece of kit but there are some design flaws

Ok breast pump
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been testing the tommee tippee hands free breast pump for a couple weeks now. Firstly the pro's, I like that it comes with an app! The noise level is ok! it is fairly noisy but i've used other pumps which is similar! I like that it comes with different sizes nipple guards and other accessories! Now some of the cons, it is quite bulky and not overly discreet! I also found the the suction isn't as strong as I would like but it's ok! overall a fairly average pump but love the hands free element!

Excellent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product fits in bra with excellent suckling like a baby, it’s very comfy doesn’t make any paint, very gentle. Does have light which is helping to point to nipple, this help me a lot, quiet which is plus. Have app as well can control now everything and is very easy to use. Nice modern design, looks very posh.

On the go mum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic pump and it is so convenient to use. It’s hands free and also doesn’t require you to sit near a plug in order to use. You can go about your day with the pump on. The settings are easy to adjust and once I found one that worked for me I was well away. I didn’t find it loud when using either and I think it also looked quite subtle under clothes. The app allows you to control the pump for even more convenience as well.

Not impressed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly wanted to love this pump, but it just didn't work for me. I needed a smaller nipple part but couldn't order it, so I never managed to actually pump more than 10 ml. It's meant to be quiet and discreet, but it's noisy and massive, so unless you use 2, people are going to know. The container has a weird shape, and it's so awkward to tip the milk into a bag. It comes with a teat, so you can use it as a bottle, but if you want to save it in a bag, half a it just goes everywhere.

It looks great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have previously used a Tommee Tippee manual hand pump and a previous round one about 13 years ago so it’s not a new brand but this is the 1st wearable non wired pump I have tried. From 1st appearances out of the box- this looks amazing and high end quality! The fabric bag is soft touch and good quality. It comes with a USB cable as a charger with universal plug so can be used anywhere and ideal for travelling. The milk collector bottles are a sleek design that works well with the pump and looks great. The parts are easy to connect together and it’s great being able to screw a teat on to feed. My 1st attempt with the pump wasn’t very successful. I put it in a bra using the bra extender which is such a perfect personal accessory I didn’t even know I needed. I measured my nipple and used the horn I thought I would get on with better with an added insert. I pumped for 45 minutes and only collected about 37ml it was a disappointing start. I love that you can control this via your phone or the buttons on the unit and see what you collect on your phone. I did turn it off as the lights go out on the unit after 1 minute. My 2nd attempt was a little better. Instead of a bra I used a stretchy breast feeding vest which gave my breast some extra room to be more natural flow because my nipples actually point downwards so aligning isn’t that great but I got about an once out in quicker time so could stop worrying that I wasn’t producing enough. Cleaning the bottles are quite hard to get into the nooks and when left in the fridge with a Tommee Tippee lid I found it hard to remove the congealed milk from around the edges because every time I shook the bottle, it would leak. The 3rd time I attempted this, I was determined to remove a feed from me considering baby has 5 ounces at night I hoped I could remove that. I pumped and managed to remove 3 ounces in about 10 minutes which still wasn’t as much as I could get from a different pump. I wasn’t sure if this worked better for me because I was topless this time and managed to get on with higher settings without tingling pains. Because of it being dark the unit couldn’t actually tell me how much was actually removed or collected either so I feel I’m hesitant about using it again as it’s never really shown me how amazing it should be. I feel it’s not really made for me but maybe others get on better with it as it’s more budget friendly than others.

Hello Kay,
The supplier has advised the following for the Tommee Tippee Double Wearable Breast Pump:
“ The additional breast milk collector bottles aren't an essential as the Double Wearable Breast Pump comes with a collector bottle on each pump, plus two spares in the box. They are however a nice addition to increase the breast milk storage capacity. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
