Initially I thought that this iron was too light - until I started using it. It is far better than my last one that was by a different manufacturer. It glided through my post holiday wash in no time, the steam was just right. The water tank did not need refiling either. One gripe is having to sit the iron in to the base but I understand this is a safety feature and I will get used to this. Once cooled the iron is 'lockable' into the base and there is cord storage for easy carrying. I recommend this as a great purchase doing a great job. It's not too large so it can be stored easily.

Good value for money
There's nothing to not like about this iron. It has a large water tank, heats up quickly, automatically turns off when not in use, steams well. The only thing I miss, is not being able to stand the iron its end while I move a garment on the ironing board; instead I have to dock it back on the base.

Worth the money
I bought this a few weeks ago after much research and I’m so glad I did. It’s taken the hard work out of ironing. It glides through my linen table wear and my husband’s shirts which was always such a chore.

Great steam function, solid iron, little bit plast
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Breville Steam Iron for a little while now, and honestly, it’s been pretty good. The steam function is amazing—it’s super powerful and lasts way longer than my handheld steamer. I used to have to refill my steamer constantly, but with this, I can get through a big pile of clothes in one go, which is such a relief. I also really like the cord storage. It’s such a small thing, but it makes a big difference when I’m putting it away. No more wrestling with a tangled cord! As for the ironing itself, it works well, but I wouldn’t say it’s anything mind-blowing. It gets the wrinkles out like any decent iron would. One thing I noticed is that it looks really nice—sleek and modern—but it feels a bit plasticky when you’re holding it, which is kind of a letdown. All in all, it’s a solid iron. If you care about all good steam function and some handy features like cord storage, this one’s worth it. Just don’t expect it to feel super fancy.

Disappointing but did have some positives
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly I would like to say the safety with the iron is great.you slide the iron in to the base and there is a small lever to pull across that locks the iron in.And you can carry the whole appliance and It’s easy to carry.I was a bit disappointed in the Iron itself I found myself constantly trying to get the temp right even with cotton shirts I had to gage the temp under as it felt like the iron was sticking to clothing it didn’t glide over clothes .The iron is lightweight and attractive to look at.Great steam generator it set my fire alarm off when I first used it lol.Overall it’s an ok iron

Lightweight, easy to use and most importantly: no more creases!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised with how aesthetically pleasing the iron is and it’s much more lightweight than our previous iron. It was so easy to fill up the water tank being able to take it out is much better than having to find a jug and pour it in. It also makes it so much easier to empty. I set up the iron, heated it up and followed the instructions for first use. When I started using it I was surprised and very very happy to see how good it was at removing creases. Usually I need a lot of steam with my previous iron but this heats up well and gets the creases out easily! In fact, I found I need to keep it on a lower setting than I thought for some items but I’m happy with that because it works so much more efficiently than any iron I’ve used before. I am really happy with this iron and have recommended it to a lot of family members who have asked about it.
