Fair value but quite a few niggles
This has the great positive that it is light and can be recharged by usb rather than a proprietary cable. That makes it much more portable. Its major disadvantages are the backlit keyboard, which is more or less invisible in normal light levels at any comfortable angle for actually typing (not a problem if you're a touch typist and can get used to the idiosyncratic layout around the enter key), and its inability to wake reliably from sleep (apparently a known problem with this family of laptops for many years). For its price it is adequate value, but I foresee the sleep problem becoming increasingly annoying over time.

Great laptop very fast, only problems I had was working with the worst keyboard colour scheme ever (good job you had backlite on this model) and Windows 11 which sadly you cannot avoid anymore.

Dreadful Keyboard
Would be fine if you could touch type but with dark grey letters on a light grey key, they are almost invisible invisible. Would never have purchased it if I had seen it in store. Many critics online suggest keyboard requires back lighting.

My 3rd Acer Laptop in 20 years, always served me well. This Swift is beautiful and very fast. Feels very well made, all metal, quite posh actually. Light and good for traveling with. Battery lasts well and screen quality is nice for video calls.

The reply from Argos is correct. I have mine on my lap, I can assure the questioner that there is no ethernet port. If using a wire is essential then a USB to Ethernet adapter might do the trick.
This first answer from Argos staff is not true.
All laptops have an Ethernet connection port.
I have 16 years experience of using laptops.

Silver keys on a silver background. Much harder to read than the black keys on my previous laptop as there isnt enough contrast between the legend on the key, and the key.
