Hotpoint quality has certainly gone down hill from when I had my very first Hotpoint washing machine years back. We only use the short wash for half hour as our clothes do not get soiled as working from home. Constantly the machine goes to F2. and has to be switched off and restarted. When I phoned Hotpoint to get engineer out I was told not to use a short wash for washing and I was washing wrong! It should be a full wash of 90 minutes and told not to use a short wash. I would have sent machine back but we had it just over two weeks. Do not buy Hotpoint Even now it still defaults to F2 after about 4 washes.

Washing machine great. Service was not
Washing machine is great however service was not. Stated on Argos it was available with delivery within 5 days. Perfect brought went through to the site to arrange delivery...which was almost 2 weeks later. Didn't get an ETA until 8pm the day before which when you have work and life to organise doesn't leave you much time.

Manual would be welcome
the machine seems good but the commands are so so. No evident choice for drying only. No manual comes with the machine. Googleling you discover that you have to select a wash with the knob and then push one or two buttons to disable the wash and keep only the drier function.

Purchased this washer/dryer about a month ago as my last one broke, this one has been on non stop ever since and does a great job, I’ve not used the dryer function much yet as it takes a long time to dry a small load but it’s there for emergencies, love the look of it too with the dark glass door and it’s very easy to use as nothing seems to come with an instruction manual anymore

Turn on the machine and ensure that the drum is empty.
Press the “Auto Clean” button on the control panel. The machine will start the cleaning cycle automatically.
Wait for the cycle to complete. The machine will beep to signal the end of the cycle.
Open the door and remove any remaining water or debris from the drum.
If you need more detailed instructions, please refer to the user manual that came with the machine.

The glass in the door on the Hotpoint NDD9725BDAUK 9/7KG 1600 Spin Washer Dryer - Black, is transparent but is a smoked glass to co ordinate with the matt black finish of the machine.
