This Hotpoint NDB 8635 W UK washer dryer with Anti-Stain technology removes stains without the need for any pre-treatment and achieves uniform drying, even on large items. The three Wash & Dry cycles are designed to suit your daily laundry needs: just load your washer dryer, turn the dial and let it do the work, without any interruptions. Thanks to its 8+6KG capacity large loads can be completed with ease.
Anti-stain technology easily eliminates common stains without the need for any pre-treatment and achieves uniform drying, even on large items. The machine innovatively controls the correct amount of water, temperature level, detergent and drum movements, so you can say goodbye to stains.
The three Continuous Wash & Dry cycles are designed to suit your daily laundry needs: just load your washer dryer, turn the dial and let it do the work, without any interruptions. Choose from XS Rapid, for a 1kg load, XL Bed & Bath to take care of bedding and towels, and Wash & Dry Mixed for a daily mixed load.
Steam Refresh is a dedicated cycle to freshen clothes that aren't yet ready for a full wash. The cycle takes just 20 minutes, using less than two glasses of water, with steam penetrating deep into fabrics, making them slightly damp, reducing creases for easier ironing.

Very unhappy with the product, takes 9 hours to dry. When I am trying to return and complained on the same week that I am not happy with the product, even though I have return dates until Jan 13th, Argos not taking return saying Supplier don't take it back as it's installed and used. Who will return washing machine without installation and checking if it works or not. Also not sure if it's new or not, as the box was not brought to my home. Just the product brought home and installed. I am extremely unhappy since the first wash. Unfortunately I took insurance everything to protect this piece.

AVOID THIS WASHING MACHINE!
There are no short washes and if you do choose the one rapid wash of 30mins you will be there hours trying to drain your clothes it takes about 4 drain cycles tge rest of the washes are 3 to 5 hours heck there is a 9 hour wash on this thing NOT GOOD FOR UTILITY BILLS INCLUDING WATER AND ELECTRICITY!! The only thing that is positive is the noise it isn't loud.

Not Eco friendly, one programme takes 9 hours. Quick wash is 35mins, but only spins at 1200, so you then have to change the programme to spin at 1400, another 10 mins. Doesn't dry clothes

I bought Hotpoint washer dryer about a month ago and very happy with it..

Perfect for my new kitchen
I bought this washer dryer after moving house and needed a slimline one to fit under the worktop. This machine fits perfectly and has a range of features I was looking for. The wash cycles are decent lengths and the quick 30 mins wash is great when in a hurry! The drying times can be a bit long as the machine needs to warm up first which did throw me when first using it. So a 90 minute dry cycle will display as 130 mins as the machine needs approx 40 mins to generate the warm air to tumble. The actual drying time is still 90 mins. I needed a combo machine as I don't have space for seperates. It's efficient low noise and has a range of options so in my opinion it's a good choice and I'm happy with it.

This is all dependant on several factors. The appliance takes into account the weight of the load, the temperature and the spin speed. The display will advise the length of time of the cycle.
The maximum dry load is 6KG.

You need to press the 'Dry Only' button for 5 seconds, this should start the auto-clean program, please ensure it is empty when doing so.

Having checked the instructions for the Hotpoint NDB8635WUK 8/6KG 1400 Spin Washer Dryer - White, it states the following:
The washer-dryer has a “Auto-Clean” cycle for its internal parts; it must be run without any load in the drum.
To optimise this cycle, it is possible to use either detergent (10% of the quantity specified for lightly soiled garments) or special additives to clean the washer-dryer. Its recommended running a cleaning cycle every 40 wash cycles.
To start the programme press button the Auto -Clean button (as shown in the instructions) for 5 seconds.
The cycle will start automatically and will run for about 70 minutes.

"Yes the appliance can be used as wash only."
Plus this further info regarding bed bugs:
"Should you put dry sheets onto a dry only cycle for at least 30minutes - then this should kill bedbugs which cannot survive above 40 degrees celsius. (The dry cycle would run up to 60 degrees celsius.)"
