I bought this after going to the Argos website on my phone and thought I would buy the mcafee protection that I always buy but picked the wrong one. Went to the store that I selected and was told it was a digital download and not a collection? If you use a pc it might have shown it in more detail . Maybe they should use another colour for the digital download .

Great but still have to use a debit card!
Purchased this for a bargain price, everything installed and runs as it should. My only issue is after installation, you enter the emailed code to activate, then you are required to enter your debit card details to enable auto renew. Once you finally get to the point of turning auto renew off, it offered me a discount that equated to £45.not.much of an incentive to auto renew as I only paid £10 anyway.

I bought the McAfee Antivirus online and when I tried to download the AV, it just DID NOT WORK!!! The unnecessary stress & head I had to undergo contacting both McAfee and Argos was unsatisfactory!! Now, to get my money back from Argos is like squeezing water out of a stone!! A very dissatisfied customer :o(

The supplier has advised the following for the McAfee Total Protection 1 Year, 1 Device - Auto Renewal:
Yes, it is required to enter your debit/credit card details in order to activate the product.
Once you have done this and activated you can opt out of the renewal in 12 months time.
How to OPT OUT:
1. Go to your account on the McAfee site.
2. Sign in using your email and password, social login, or a one-time passcode.
3. Click Subscriptions.
4. Click Cancel for the subscription you want to turn off Auto-Renewal and scroll down > Click Cancel Auto-Renewal.
5. After you click Turn off, you’ll get an email from McAfee confirming that your auto-renewal is deactivated.
6. After turning off Auto-Renewal, your subscription stays active until the end of your subscription period.

I HAVE PAID ABOUT 50 POUNDS, THE MCAFEE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS I COULD NOT USE, WASTED MY MONEY! HAD TO RENEW IN ANOTHER WAY BECAUSE THE ONE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS THEY WANT YOUR CARD DETAILS FOR AUTO RENEW. 39 POUNDS TO RENEW AND 9.99 WAS WASTED!!!
