Seem okay
Got these for a battery spotlight that i have over the porch. i had been using some duracell battery, but wanted some rechargeable. these seem very light and do not seem to last as long as the none-rechargeable duracell but these where the only rechargeable i can find, otherthen the ebay ones, which i am unsure how good they will be.

Didn't provide enough power to make the thing work
Fully charged these batteries didn't provide enough power for the item to work properly. No use at all.

Great rechargeable batteries!
They do the job of powering my DAB radio pretty well. And a good price too from Argos.

Very very short life batteries indeed.
My new D batteries lasted in a transistor radio exactly 2 weeks at about the rate of an hour a day at low volume. I’ve just bought 2 Duracell equivalents to replace them which is what I should have done in the first place. Previously I had two Duracells in the radio and they lasted for over two years. What a waste of £8.

Good batteries.
I bought 4 batteries in 2 packs of 2, 1 pack was new but the other pack was opened and resealed with sellotape and I was still charged the same same price as a new pack. Won't be ordering those again.

They work..
They work okay, but are only good for low power devices really. In a battery powered mattress pump they tend to get concerningly hot, and they drain very quickly. UItimately not very useful, as most devices that use D batteries are very high draw, so you'll have constantly overheating batteries that will need to be charged frequently.

Hello there.
D batteries and R20s are the same thing. R20 is the IEC designation for this size and shape of battery.
If your device requires R20 batteries then this Energizer Rechargeable Power Plus D Batteries - Pack of 2 would be suitable.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Kathy,
These are D size batteries.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Jay,
The charge time of the Energizer Rechargeable Power Plus D Batteries - Pack of 2 will depend on many factors. Typically these include, but aren't limited too, the charger being used and it's max output, the amount of air circulation around them as batteries heat up when charging, and the overall depletion of the batter along with it's cycle count.
With this is mind we are unable to offer a time, however the AA&AAA pro charger is able to offer a charge within 4 hours when the batteries are fully depleted.
I hope this helps,
Thanks for using Q&A.

Hello, thank you for your question regarding the Energizer 2500 mAh Ni-MH Rechargeable D Batteries - 2 Pack.
Having looked into your query, I can confirm that this would depend completely on what device they were being used in, as different devices use up different amounts of battery.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A
Hi, thank you for your question.
Having looked into your query, I can advise that 'D' is in relation to the battery size.
Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
The small print
NICAD BATTERIES.<p>Due to the nature of Ni Cad rechargeable batteries, it is possible that the first charge, from new, will not produce 100% capacity and may give less running time than future charges. Optimum performance is often obtained from the battery after the third or fourth charge.
