Excellent toaster

This Bosch toaster looks really smart and sleek in the kitchen and it pairs brilliantly with the kettle from the same series. I’ve had quite a few compliments on how good they look together. It’s easy to clean and maintain and you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to the different toasting settings. Overall, it feels like a quality product and is highly worth it.

Much better than more expensive ones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this after a disastrous purchase of a dualit toaster - which was sent back . Can't believe that a toaster that was 25% of the price can do such a fantastic job - absolutely love my Bosch one !!!!!

Goes well with the styline kettle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate the ability to get an even toasting over the whole (2) slices. Looks aesthetically good alongside the styline kettle. Easy to use the 1-9 heat settings.

Second one

I have previously owned one of this toaster & loved it until a year ago. I had it from when it first became available years ago so it lasted a good time. While everything still worked perfectly it was the rods that finally clouded over & no longer toasted. I wanted another but could not find it then (?) I bought a different brand but it's frustrating as toasting was erratic. So here we are today. I now have another of this toaster. I've not had it long so we will see if it can last as long as the first one. I find it very easy to operate & once I have a heat setting I rarely have to change it. The mirroring & rods give an even browning which is what I like & we want. Overall it has all the functions one needs, defrost, warming rack etc. I think it is stylish & keeps it's looks throughout.

Quality but……

This is a well built toaster with clear and helpful digital controls, far better than numbered dials on cheaper, flimsier products. Disappointingly though, it does not toast evenly on both sides because there are 2 filaments on each inside slot but only 1 on each outside slot. In the few weeks I've used it everyday in the weeks since I bought it and find it necessary to toast on a lower setting and switch the bread round for a second session and even then stop the second session early to avoid it burning. I still rate the product highly but it should be possible to toast evenly on one single setting.

Good as long as it works, but...

Gave 2 stars because Bosch doesn't seem to care about our (global) environment. Bought this toaster a few years ago, together with a matching kettle. It's been working fine, until it suddenly stopped working. Replaced fuse in the plug, but that didn't help. Took it to an electric repair shop, and after testing various possible causes, it was deducted that the electric 'operation board' was faulty. We couldn't find a spare one, and even if we did, my experience with Bosch is that spare parts are prohibitively expensive (parts nearly the price of the whole item). Will I buy a Bosch item again? Probably not, because even though their appliances are usually good quality, their parts are difficult to find and prohibitively expensive.
