The first toastie was ok but I took the crust off the second one and it was better. 2 minutes each side was best.

Forget all the fakes and copies on eBay. Get one of these Drew & Cole clever micro toastie makers from highstreet TV. I have used my clever micro toastie maker every day since i recieved mine over a month ago. It is a very high quality toastie maker easy to clean and use and it works.

Another Kitchen Must Have
This toastie maker is brilliant! I've used it a few times now and every time the result has been perfect. I haven't had one single disaster. That said, I didn't use shop bought bread, I used my own homemade multi seeded bread made in my bread maker. The way I slice my bread is about the same thickness as a shop bought toastie loaf. Yes, I had to cut the top off the slices as they were too tall, but, Oh my word, the very first toastie I made came out so delicious that I just had to make another toastie immediately and I'm ashamed to say (I'm on a strict diet and not allowed carbs at the moment), I scoffed both toasties as though I wasn't. The guilt came soon after LOL. But seriously, there were no soft/uncooked parts on the bread, the whole toastie both sides and all the way across was crunchy with a gooey centre. Pure Heaven! I wholeheartedly recommend this Toastie Maker. It's a fantastic replacement for my old one, much easier to clean and nowhere near as cumbersome, making it easy to just tuck away in the cupboard.

Don't bother
Don't bother the picture shows well filled sandwichs, you can only put a small amount of filling toast tastes like cardboard tried a few different bread times and fillings. Bought 2 for grandchildren going off to university 1 still in box never opened,total waste of money.

Absolute rubbish!
Don't waste your money! It does not toast the bread and after following all the instructions 5 times, I have still to get the perfect toasted sandwich! I have written asking for a refund twice and my request has been ignored!
