I bought these to replace the old bulbs in my bedside lamps and they work really well. They’re bright enough for reading, they give off a nice warm light, and the dimming is smooth with no flickering. Getting two in a pack is great value. Bought these with some dimmable lamps for our bedroom. They have 3 levels of brightness and give a lovely warm, cosy glow.

Flickered on full brightness & quiet buzzing noise
Nice warm light and worked well at the lowest and medium light level but when on the full brightness setting it flickered to an extent that it is unusable at that level. It also makes a buzzing noise, it is very quiet so may be imperceptible to some people but I find it annoying when reading at night and everything is quiet except the bulb buzzing.

Does the job
Does the job but flickers annoyingly on full brightness. This could be an issue with the lamp rather than the bulb but you get what you pay for. Service in Sainsburys was not good though; machine didn't work so had to queue up for ages.

As these Argos Home 4.2W LED SES Light Bulb - 2 Pack are only 4.2W, these will be fine to use.
