Good Basic Scales
Bought to replace 20-year-old electronic Salter scales from Argos which had finally conked out. The old scales were 32cm x 32cm, these are 30 x 30 with a smaller display, but are very thin and elegant. A better option than the even smaller mechanical version in 2026. This one is easy to stand on and read, with readouts in Stone and in simply total Pounds as well as KG to the nearest 0.1. Useful for weighing aircraft luggage too. It wasn't clear how you get the 15-year warranty mentioned (nor what advantage this gives you on a piece of kit costing the same as a couple of pints!). Similarly, avoid the Argos 'insurance' which just generates fees for Mr. Sainsbury.... Happy if this lasts another 20 years.

No, I suggest that you buy a cheap luggage weight gauge/monitor from Lidl instead - they are cheap and perform very well
Yes but weigh your luggage a few times to get a average reading. I recently weighed my luggage using these scales they were fairly accurate the first time it weighs heavier than the second and third time
