I purchased these scales to keep track of my weight. You can use them on carpet or hard floor. They have a good digital readout, large and clear. You can choose between kilos, pounds or stones. They are light yet sturdy.

The platform size is a bit bigger than some other ones from Argos which is why I chose it. Works well once you have worked out that you have to press hard in the middle to get it to turn on! Press button underneath to switch between imperial and metric measures.

Couldn’t open battery casing.
This just went back to the shop. It may be a very good scale for all I know but never got to try it. Why? Because these scale require a battery & to get into the battery compartment there’s a tiny screw that requires a tiny specialist screwdriver (like the one for glasses) which I don’t have. Also the type of battery required is not specified. How stupid is all this? I would need to source & purchase this screwdriver, and once got it, work out which battery to buy before I can use these scales. I would like to buy British goods but really do these people think things through?

No, I suggest that you buy a cheap luggage weight gauge/monitor from Lidl instead - they are cheap and perform very well
Yes but weigh your luggage a few times to get a average reading. I recently weighed my luggage using these scales they were fairly accurate the first time it weighs heavier than the second and third time
