About this product
The Argos Home Metro Solar Lamp Post brings outdoor lighting with zero wiring fuss. The tall metro-style design suits patios, pathways or front gardens where you want soft illumination that switches on automatically at dusk. The solar panel charges during the day, giving you light without plugs or bills. Dual brightness settings let you switch between brighter lighting or a gentler glow depending on the mood or season.
The included white LED creates ambient lighting that suits evening gatherings or quiet nights outdoors. The rechargeable battery comes in the box, no extras to buy. The three-position switch gives you control off, higher brightness, or lower brightness for flexibility through the seasons. Assembly required, but once set up it handles the rest on its own. Wonderful addition to the garden
We Brought this last month and really happy that we did as it is very stylish and gives off quite a bright light. Easy to assemble.

Great value
Love this, it looks more expensive than it is, and is a nice warm glow (following a couple of days in the sun to charge fully) . The stand is made of hollow plastic so could be a problem in high winds. It's meant to be screwed down (presumably to decking) but I've got around this by screwing it to a spare stone floor tile to improve stability and placing it centrally between 3 planters. Note that there are 2 heights available for sale, this is about chest height, which I prefer as pigeons will sit on taller ones. Very happy with it for the money, although can't yet speak for longevity.

Hello there. The Argos Home Metro Solar Lamp Post requires 1 x AA battery that is supplied. This needs to be set into battery compartment at the point of construction and is accessible from the top of the lamp. Thanks for using Q and A.

Our supplier has advised that, to access the Argos Home Metro Solar Lamp Post on/off button, you twist the roof slightly anti-clockwise and remove, you will see the switch near to the LED bulb, on the underside.
