The 500W motor enables fast and accurate cutting through timber, plastics and metals depending on the blade. The variable speed with pendulum action allows you to cut materials such as softwood at faster speeds, whilst cutting denser materials such as plastics, metal and hardwoods at slow speeds. Improved cut line visibility and low vibration allow you to make the most precise cuts, with easy handling and greater comfort.

Gem of a tool
Brilliant jigsaw and for the price you can’t go wrong. I’ve been using this for my home refurb and kitchen installation. Works perfect. Just get yourself some decent blades and your good to go.

Good saw but missing one thing
Bought to replace my well used b and d saw from years ago. A good saw and works well. But they missed on thing out my last 3 jig saws had . The rip fence guide . Such a little thing but vital for cutting straight cuts

I bought this for a one off project to cut polycarbonate sheeting to cover a fish pond. As a non DIYer it was easy to set up and use. Very pleased with it and now I have it for future projects too. Comes in a lovely compact case for easy storage.

Having checked I can confirm the blade in not held in with screws. There is a lever to open whilst you insert the blade and when you release the lever the blade is held securely in place.

It says on the box 3 wood blades and 2 metal but apparently theyre all for wood.
Thankfully I checked here before attempting to use it on metal.
Argos should ask Black and Decker to either supply the right parts or change the wording on the container.

“ All 5 of the steel blades are for cutting wood and it does cut upwards instead of down. ”

A question above asks if the blades are suitable for cutting metal, it says 2 are on the box but the reply was NO, all the blades are for wood only.
Argos and black and decker need to sort it before someone incurs an injury trying to cut metal with a wood blade.
