The Habitat Rico Bunk Bed gives you two single beds in the space of one, so you can keep a smaller room organised without squeezing everyone in. It's made from solid pine and painted bright white, sturdy enough to see kids through from age six right into their teenage years. Two mattresses are included, that's medium-feel open coil types with anti-allergy covers. There's a safe built-in ladder in a fixed position, and a spacious drawer that glides underneath for storing toys, games or clothes. It holds up to 100kg per bunk, so it's safety-tested for adult use too.

The frame's been tested to the latest British and European safety standards, and it must be attached to a wall for stability, that's really important for children's furniture. The wooden slats support the mattresses without needing a separate base. The drawer's big enough to keep bedrooms tidy, and it rolls out smoothly when you need to grab something. Each mattress has 192 springs and a no-turn design, so there's less fussing about with upkeep. Assembly needs two people and everything you need is included in the box.
