There is a lot of static sound that comes from the monitor, despite playing with the settings. Range and image are pretty good though, and picks up sound very well.

I bought this purely for travelling but honestly might prefer it over the one I spent £200+ on which operates via wifi and works on my iPhone rather than its own viewer. It’s very basic don’t get me wrong, but for travelling is all you really need.

The VTech VM3254 has 2 x lullabies and 2 x soothing sounds.
Lullaby/Soothing number “3” in the menu is a “shush” sound.
Note that some models have a white noise sound which is similar, but continuous, unlike the “shush”.

The parent using is mains charged but will require n off a battery. The baby end is mains only. A lot of people dont want cables in their babies or toddlers room so not ideal for them, especially if they are in a new build or rental where they are not allowed to attach anything to walls.
