This bulb actually exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a colour changing light bulb and later discovered how good the app. You can set up timers and put it into one of the many preset themes (that glow through various colours). Also a very reasonable price. Very happy with this.

First Smart Venture
First ‘smart’ purchase for our home. Bought breach for the kids rooms and will be buying more for elsewhere in the house. The app is really good and installation/set up took about 1 minute all in! Amazing range of colours and functions, the kids love the various colours and being able to change brightness/warmth is so handy. We’ve set a schedule to use them as night lights too. Absolutely recommend, though can’t compare to other brands.

Typically use Tapo smart bulbs but couldn’t find any for next day delivery so thought I would try the Philips smart bulbs - and so happy I did! Easy to set up! More importantly the Wiz app is user friendly and gives more personalised features than the Tapo app.

These bulbs are great, the latest app adds them automatically as soon as they're powered. They're the bargain version of philips hue. I've got about 9 of these in total and only one has failed in the last 3 years. Recommended.

They are the same bulbs, just repackaged to show that Philips is the maker of them. It's a trickle-down effect from the Philips Hue range.

You would need to install the WiZ app on your device as the direct control of the bulbs would be through that. You'd then use the WiZ app to link your Alexa to it via the account you use for the Alexa so it can be controlled that way.

When used with the Wiz app or a compation smart assistant then you can control the on/off function of the bulbs including colour. You can also, if the assisnt supports it, set automations so they turn on or off at specific times.
