Does the job
I bought this to replace a different glass model and this certainly looks more stylish/slick. Happy with the functionality and a decent price. I can't give 5 stars as I think the design of how the lid fits the jug needed more thought, as you have to visually align the filter with the spout when putting the lid back on. Some kind of tactile guide would be more useful for accessibility e.g. those with visual impairments. It seems silly that it's so easy to put the lid on incorrectly and therefore block the pour.

Lovely quiet kettle
Really pleased with my purchase; the glass jug makes it clear to see how clean the kettle is internally and it boils quickly without being too noisy. My last kettle sounded like a train was coming through the house and this one is much quieter. The only negative I have, is that the spout is quite wide and so pouring isn't quite so sleek and easy.

I have hard water. I wipe out the kettle frequently. Once a week, or when the limescale does not wipe off any more, I use lemon juice to descale. Fill kettle up to where limescale ends, add 12 shakes of lemon juice and swish around, leave to soak for a few hours, then boil and leave to cool. Wipe out and rinse well with cold water.
