Stylish illuminated kettle
I bought this kettle a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy with it, I like the shape, it boils very quickly and its easy to see how much water to put in as cups from 1 to 6 are clearly marked on the side and I love the blue illumination when it's switched on making it look like a more expensive kettle.

Great kettle
This is the second one of these kettles I have bought. So easy to see how much water you are boiling. Also easy Access to clean the inside which I need as I live in a hard water area. Easy to fill.

Not suitable for my needs
Unfortunately I had to return this item due to the following reasons: As I have arthritis in my hands I found it difficult to remove the lid, which is not flip top, to refill the kettle. The steam detector rod was flimsy and got in the way, it didn’t pour well as the lid had to be carefully aligned with the spout to ensure a safe pour. However, the customer service from Argos was First Class and made the return process very simple

Great looking product but...
I purchased this kettle about a month ago but sadly had to return it due to the fact when it fully boiled and I went to pour for say a cup of tea, I found that excess amount of water would come out and either spill or over fill my cup.On addition to this after the kettle had boiled I found the interior of the glass would be full of condensation which I did not like from a presentation point of view. So based on these 2 points the item was returned.

1 thing wrong…
A nice looking, and behaving, kettle. Russell Hobbs have made a fundamental flaw by not giving the top a water filling hole. There is a ready made knob in the lid that would have served beautifully for this- but No! RH prefer us to struggle with the sprung lid one handed - because some of us have a water filter! 😖

Great kettle at the price
This is the second time I've purchased this kettle. It's perfect for seeing the amount of water you are boiling. It's quick to boil and cuts out at the right time. Being glass it is hard wearing and tough enough to take the odd knock without breaking. Well made and solid.

I have hard water. I wipe out the kettle frequently. Once a week, or when the limescale does not wipe off any more, I use lemon juice to descale. Fill kettle up to where limescale ends, add 12 shakes of lemon juice and swish around, leave to soak for a few hours, then boil and leave to cool. Wipe out and rinse well with cold water.
Hello Spalding S,

Follow the instructions on the package of descaler.''
