With how expensive SSDs are, this is a god send! I love the capacity of it, and how portable it is. The transfer rates are obviously not the same as SSDs but for this price, it's worth it. It's compatible with pretty much everything made in the last decade, and will be reliable as long as you don't throw it around or drop it. After all, they are more fragile than SSDs

Is compatible with the PS5, however, for the games to be played it will need to be copied back to the internal SSD to be played.

This Seagate Expansion Plus 5TB Portable Hard Drive would be suitable for storage of PS5 games, however it would not be suitable for playing those games from the drive. The PS5 would require that you transfer the game files to the PS5's internal hard drive before they can be played.

Double check. I have a Seagate Expansion 5TB from a few years back. No PLUS mentioned. I thought there was no Indicator, but spotted a very tiny White light on the cable connector end, white does flash when activity is happening. So, looks like the same Model, really, but without some different or extra software included
