I bought this 4Tb drive a couple of weeks ago as my 2TB backup drive was almost full. Transfer from 2 to 4 was a breeze although it did take a few hours even running at 40-50 MB/s. Excellent performance and warranty from Seagate.

Yes. The drive uses a USB 3.0 interface, which is backward compatible with USB 2.0. It will work on a USB 2.0 port, but transfer speeds will be slower—around 30–40 MB/s instead of the faster USB 3.0 speeds.

there is no reason why this Hard Drive cannot be formatted to NTFS before use. In fact, formatting it to NTFS can be beneficial, especially if you plan to use it primarily with Windows systems, as NTFS supports larger file sizes and better security features compared to FAT32 or exFAT.

With the Seagate Expansion Plus 4TB Portable Hard Drive, while this drive is not on the official list of Seagate's PS4/PS5 tested game drives, it qualifies as a drive that meets the specifications set by Sony for being detected on a PlayStation 5.
It will support USB3.0 connection and to be over 1tb in capacity. Please note that the drive will only be able to store games that are designed for the high end graphics for PS5, not play them directly from the drive. You can run games compatible with PS4 directly from the drive though.
