Best bread ever
Was recommended to buy a panasonic as apparently they are the best bread makers and they weren't wrong. I have made about 10 loaves so far and all have come out perfect.

Makes very good bread but...
Replaces 16 year old model and both are good breadmakers. However, dough kneader can be difficult to extract, the letters on the screen to select Medium, Large etc are minute and the screen has now moved to on top making it harder to see for shorter people.

Good efficient bread maker
I have only used this bread maker to produce dough as I preferr to cook the bread in a traditional bread tin in the oven. It replaces a similar panasonic that I have had for 15 plus years which eventually failed. The design is clean and compact and each programme has its own number to ensure you get the correct mix/bake.

Great bread, very poor control panel display
I bought the SD-B2510 to replace a SD-2501 which had come to the end of its life. The bread is very good (I don't use the handbook recipes), the pan fits more securely and the lid closes more firmly, although the outer casing gets hotter. BUT the control panel display is much worse. It is about 3cm square, behind the controls and not backlit so the icons are tiny, making it very difficult to use.

The power supply for UK: 230 V - 240 V 50 Hz and the power consumption is between 505 W - 550 W.
if the Heating duration is around 1. 5 hours total, and we draw 0. 55 kW, and the electricity rate is £0. 23 per kilo.
Energy used = 0. 55 kW x 1. 5 hours = 0. 825 kWh
times £0. 23= £0. 19 to make one loaf of bread using this unit based on a rate of 23p per kWh. However, as I said, this calculation is not accurate as we don't have a specific heating duration time, and the cost from your Electricity supplier this may vary.
