About this product
The Sonos Beam Gen2 is a compact smart soundbar that brings Dolby Atmos and crisp, room-filling audio to your TV setup, whilst doubling as your music streaming system for when the screen is off. It fits neatly under most TVs without dominating your living room, and setup is refreshingly simple - just two cables and the Sonos app walk you through everything, including Trueplay tuning that adjusts the sound to your room.
You get vibrant bass, clear dialogue, and a panoramic soundstage that makes films immersive, thanks to 3D sound projecting audio over and around you. Stream music, radio, podcasts or audiobooks via Wi-Fi when the TV is off, and control it with the Sonos app, TV remote, Apple AirPlay 2, or your voice. It works seamlessly as part of a multi-room system with other Sonos speakers. It connects via HDMI eARC (cable included) or optical with the adaptor, and you can wall-mount it to keep your TV stand clear (fixings not included). In the box soundbar, HDMI cable, optical adaptor, documentation and a 2-year guarantee.

Fantastic sound quality.
The difference in sound with this soundbar is like night and day. Superb quality of build, good bass, crystal clear voice. A bit pricey, but got it on a deal and well worth it. App for it could be a bit better and it doesn’t turn off unless unplugged. That is the only downside.

The most reasonably priced Sonos soundbar
This soundbar is a little taller than others so make sure it fits snugly under your TV. The quality is great so far, particularly good at music. No Bluetooth connection but connects pretty easily over WiFi and Apple Airplay.

Fantastic sounds system a great buy
I bought this system a few weeks ago and I’m so pleased I chose this Sonos surround system, easy to connect to the TV, seamless to set up. The sound is absolutely fantastic and brings movies to life with rich deep base and surround sound for an immersive experience. I love the way it integrates seamlessly together and you can use any of the speakers to adjust the volume or your voice or indeed to the TV remote. Can be set up with Alexa or just the Sonos system whichever you prefer. I was worried that maybe speech wouldn’t be clear because I had a previous sound bar which made the sound hard to hear but the clarity on the Sonos system is a different level, really good.

Yes, you can wirelessly connect a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) soundbar with a Sonos One (Gen 2) speaker within the Sonos system, either by grouping them for multi-room audio or by bonding them to create a full 5.1 surround sound setup. Both products are compatible with the Sonos S2 app.

Please note the Sonos beam does NOT work with android phones - ie you can NOT play music directly from your android device to the beam 2 even through wi-fi. Sonos specifically removed this feature forcing you to pay for online streaming services. Also the set up calibration only works with iphones - not android so your stuck with the out of the box set up. - Beware.

The supplier has advised the following for the Sonos Beam Gen2 Sound Bar - Black:
"You can add Google assistance to the Sonos system. The one main downside is that Google and Sonos will not let you group Sonos speakers with Nest speakers. As a result, you can either play music on your Sonos device or any Nest device but not both simultaneously."
