Instant Pot Love
It wasn't love at first sight as the Instant Pot design is kinda pedestrian at best, but it WAS ❤️ at first use! I did deep dive online research on how to use it the day I collected it. I watched tons of videos and read many sub-Reddits about how to use the IP as well as tips. I did not read the official manual and I'm glad I didn't, as it was faster and easier to get to grips with this online. I bought this with the hope it would make it faster and easier to cook daily fresh Ayurveda-Vegan meals and it absolutely has! The IP has streamlined and simplified my cooking. I recommend you always use the Natural Pressure Release option as it internalises steam into the food. Otherwise if you use the Instant Pressure Release you get a significant amount of steam in your kitchen. Super easy to clean. Buy extra silicone sealing rings because the ring does pick up cooking smells. I bought colour-coded unbranded replacement rings on Amazon and they work just as well as the IP branded ring. So red is for porridge and fruit compotes and blue is for Khichdi and curries.

Useful pressure cooker with ability to slow cook
Mostly a pressure cooker, with the ability to simmer and slow cook. As such, it’s really useful. Comes up to temperature/pressure swiftly and appears well made.

Pleased
Wanted one for ages. Bought a 3 ltr one as I've only got a small kitchen. My 1st meal was a bit of a disaster as I forgot to do a slow release and it went everywhere. 2nd attempt was amazing. Just wish it had a steam basket. A recipe book would have been a great help as well. I'm having to find out from YouTube what to do. But I'm still very pleased with it.

Hello Moira,
The supplier has advised the following for the Instant Pot Duo 3 Mini Multi Cooker 3L:
"You can put pre-seared meat into the Instant Pot to slow cook. However, please note that this should be done in a separate pan and not in the stainless steel inner pot that comes with the Instant Pot. If you want to do everything in one pot, you can use the Saute setting to sear meat before turning to Slow Cook for the rest of the cooking process."
