First time I used it it leaked. We disassembled the top and one of the seals was not positioned correctly. Not a good start. With this corrected it was fine.Be careful not to put too hot a drink in it. It will stay that way for some time.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Thermos Stainless King Travel Tumbler 470ml - Gunmetal Grey: ''Specifically regarding the King Travel Mug Lid, whilst it is possible to take apart the lid, we only recommend this in the worst scenarios. Usually when there has been a large build up of limescale. This can happen in areas with hard water.
General cleaning advice.
The most effective way to restore the flask to its original condition is to sterilise the product using a milton tablet (as used with baby's bottles) or adding a spoonful of bicarbonate soda to the warm soapy water. Alternatively two denture cleaning tablets dissolved in water can also be effective. Allow the flasks to stand overnight (or longer if possible) Rinse thoroughly before use. This cleaning method is very effective for removing difficult stains and often the product will be restored to its original condition.
If the above solution should not resolve the problem, another method is to fill the flask with a solution of half water and half white vinegar and again allow the flask to stand and soak overnight. Rinse thoroughly before use.
To maintain the quality of your product we do not recommend immersing the product into water or the dishwasher. We recommend cleaning the product by washing it with warm soapy water and allow it to stand and soak overnight. Rinse thoroughly before use.''

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Thermos Stainless King Travel Tumbler 470ml - Gunmetal Grey: ''there is no need to dismantle the lid to wash, this is only in extreme circumstances when there is a build up of residue. This is often more prevalent in hard water areas. We do recommend using Milton/Baby cleaning liquid.''
