Thermos Food Flask

Small but mighty
I bought this for making soup to take to work. What swayed me was the length of time the soup would stay hot in the description. Thermos is also a known quality make. This thermos blew me away, it is small and mighty. Well made with the spoon sitting neatly in the handle. The flasks holds an ample amount for your lunch/break and providing you warm your flask before adding your chosen food holds the heat as per description. The price point is excellent for the quality of the flask. Highly recommend

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Thermos Stainless King Red Food Flask - 470ml: I can confirm that the outside of the cup is stainless steel but the inside is plastic.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello There,
Thermos Stainless King Red Food Flask - 470ml:
The temperature of foods can vary when poured into the flask and it is not possible to give a precise definition of hot or duration. To enjoy the best heat retention we advise the following;
Pre-warm your flask by pouring in boiling water and leaving for at least 5 minutes.
Make sure liquids are boiling hot.
Add cold milk separately when you need to, as it will reduce the temperature.
Consider using a microwave to ensure foods are piping hot. Use a heat resistant jug and pour straight into the flask
Fill the flask to just under the bottom of the stopper. Do not leave large air gaps.
Do not open and close the flask until you want to consume the contents.
In all circumstances please remember that liquids or foods will start cooling down as soon as they are placed in the flask. They will not keep contents at the same temperature as when they went in the Flask.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Hello Pwall.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Thermos Stainless King Red Food Flask - 470ml:
Pasta is not the best for staying warm due to all the air pockets, read below for further info.
Thermos Flasks are manufactured to a high standard and specification. Our hot duration test is based on pouring boiling water into the Flask then closing for the number of hours stated. The temperature is then checked and if it is over 60 degrees this is considered hot.
Food Flasks are calibrated the same with boiling water, because food types are clearly all different. Soups, Rice, Pasta, and Stews have different densities and water content. There will be colder air pockets especially in pasta dishes. The temperature of Foods can therefore vary when poured into the flask and it is not possible to give a precise definition of hot or duration.

Hi AMD,
Yes, the metal spoon included with the Thermos Stainless King Red Food Flask - 470ml can be used with the flask and the lid.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Najiya,
I do not advise using rice as between the temperatures of 40°F-140°F (4.4°C-60°C) a bacteria called Bacillus cereus can grow on rice which can lead to food poisoning.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Pobs,
Thanks for your query about the Thermos Stainless King Red Food Flask - 470ml.
Having checked, it is possible but it would depend on the specific meal, brand, and type of food you were wanting to keep in it. It does have a 470ml capacity so, e.g. you'd get up to that volume of a soup or a chilli or whatever inside it. With it being a steel item, you would need to pour the contents into another contain if they needed any kind of reheating in the microwave before you ate them. However, with it keeping the contents hot for up to 9 hours, you'd very likely not need to do this if it was poured into the flask whilst still hot.
Thanks for using Q&A.
