About this product
The Vax Air Lift 2 Pet is a corded upright that does a proper job on carpets and hard floors, with VersaClean Technology that agitates and lifts debris of all sizes. It weighs 6.5kg and runs on a 9m power cord, giving you plenty of reach without constantly unplugging. The clever bit is the lift-out design, which means you can detach the main unit and use it as a handheld for stairs, sofas or the car. It's designed for busy homes with pets and kids, and comes with a turbo tool that tackles pet hair and ground-in dirt.
The dustbin holds 1.5l, so you're not emptying it every five minutes, and there's a full indicator to let you know when it needs clearing. The motorised floor head is adjustable and switches between carpets and hard floors easily. You get multi-cyclonic technology that keeps suction strong, plus antimicrobial protection built in. It comes with a crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, and turbo brush, plus a 1.65m hose for above-floor cleaning. Works across carpets, hard floors, stairs and upholstery.

Customers Say
Vax Air Lift 2 Pet vacuum is powerful and effective at picking up pet hair, versatile with multiple tools, but often criticized for being heavy, having a short hose, and hair wrap issues on the brush roll.

Poor cleaner
Bought this to replace another Vax cleaner. Worst mistake ever. Ive been using this now for 10 months, so its not just a knee jerk reaction. Dog hairs just wind round the roller and you end up with balls of hair on the carpet. Continually having to cut the hair from the roller. The additional front roller doesn't help much either as it gets clogged too. It's a much heavier unit than my other vax and takes twice as long to vacuum a carpet after a grooming session. All in all, I can't recommend this product.

Vax is better than Dyson for pet hair
I have had this Vacuum for about 2 months now, after buying a Dyson animal ball 3. The reason I brought the Vax was due to the Dyson not picking up pet hair properly. The Dyson would leave hair that has been caught on carpet fibres, and would leave pet hair streaks on the carpet. Also due to anti hair wrap on the Dyson, bits would get caught on the comb part on the brush head. If you have a Dark carpet and have a pet, do not buy a Dyson. The Vax done a much better job at picking up pet hair, it was like day and night in the difference. I am not saying the Vax is perfect, but it did a much better job than the Dyson. However there are a few design flaws in the Vax. 1, how the power cable come out from the lower part of the machine, which can get tangled up in the wheels. 2. The front carpet brush should be made with stiffer bristles and not a sponge type material. 3. The should be a better gromet from where the power cable comes out of the machine.

Hose to short!!
why oh why do you not, have an extension hose, I'm forever dragging the hoover over either, attached or not to the appliance. Also the mains cable is of poor quality, flat and easily tangles, my previous vax had a round and more sturdy cable!
