Disappointing with form over function.
After having Vax for years, this is a real disappointment. Very unstable when using the hose, the brush head is too narrow and doesn't adjust. The whole thing is top heavy. The people who designed it clearly never used it. Fiddly features. Vax seem to have gone away from simplicity which is a shame.

Good but not Excellent
I've had my Air Lift 2 Pet for 3 weeks now and it's had a good test cleaning both the house and car. I was torn between two models of Vax, neither of which entirely fitted the bill but this was the nearest. On the whole it is a good machine, performing far, far better than the Shark we've had for the last 3 or 4 years. We've got a dog who likes to shed all year round and the shark just couldn't handle it. Sadly I can't give 5 stars for my new VAX because of 3 design fails. 1. If you disengage the brush bars to clean a floor that doesn't need them, the light doesn't work. Why? I want the light to work regardless of the floor surface, how else can I spot those pesky dog hairs?! 2. The hose is far too short, to the point where it makes it difficult to use so I'm going to have to buy an extension for it. It barely reaches the sofa without having to lift off the body which I don't want to keep having to do. I know I can add the handle to it but then it makes it less flexible and even more awkward to use (which was my bug bear with the Shark). 3. The clip for the power lead at the base of the handle just won't keep it in place. It's a small thing but when you're using it and the lead keeps falling and getting in the way it's quite annoying.

Worst cleaner I have ever had!
Where can I start?… it's very very heavy, the anti hair wrap doesn't work, you have to put your hands inside to get dirt out, its suction is poor. I've had it less than a year and I'm hoi h to put it in the skip!

Bought a month ago and my carpets and floors look totally different. Great suction on short pile carpets and lino floors. Takes up minimal storage area.

Worse hoover ive owned. Do not buy this hoover the clips are so stiff it doesnt open both ways to empty so you spend hours with a knife trying to drag everything down also doesnt pick up on carpets and the hose is so short it can not reach ceiling. Owned 3 months now buying a shark

Light to use. Cleans very well, lifting out pet hair & lots of dust. Does not try to suck up my rugs though, which is great.
