Personally i am happy with the hoover with especially the removable main motor to hoover the stairs etc The wife thinks its a bit on the heavy side but overall likes the hoover for its versatility like the double brush bar

Would give it zero stars!
Awful vaccum, fallen apart after 5 weeks. Nosy to start with, now even louder. No refund as one week over purchase date. Customer service sent replacement base, no motor 🤷🏻♀️, contacted customer service again, told need to send it back for fixing, not happy, cheap, noisy model with no airflow control, will never purchase a vax vaccum again

A really good vacuum cleaner
Really pleased with the product straight out the box easy to assemble, did the carpets and floors beautifully the only downside is the stairs tool that is supposed to have a rotating brush working on the vacuum created does not rotate once you put it onto the stairs it just stops other than that a really good piece of kit.

Disappointing with form over function.
After having Vax for years, this is a real disappointment. Very unstable when using the hose, the brush head is too narrow and doesn't adjust. The whole thing is top heavy. The people who designed it clearly never used it. Fiddly features. Vax seem to have gone away from simplicity which is a shame.

Good but not Excellent
I've had my Air Lift 2 Pet for 3 weeks now and it's had a good test cleaning both the house and car. I was torn between two models of Vax, neither of which entirely fitted the bill but this was the nearest. On the whole it is a good machine, performing far, far better than the Shark we've had for the last 3 or 4 years. We've got a dog who likes to shed all year round and the shark just couldn't handle it. Sadly I can't give 5 stars for my new VAX because of 3 design fails. 1. If you disengage the brush bars to clean a floor that doesn't need them, the light doesn't work. Why? I want the light to work regardless of the floor surface, how else can I spot those pesky dog hairs?! 2. The hose is far too short, to the point where it makes it difficult to use so I'm going to have to buy an extension for it. It barely reaches the sofa without having to lift off the body which I don't want to keep having to do. I know I can add the handle to it but then it makes it less flexible and even more awkward to use (which was my bug bear with the Shark). 3. The clip for the power lead at the base of the handle just won't keep it in place. It's a small thing but when you're using it and the lead keeps falling and getting in the way it's quite annoying.

Worst cleaner I have ever had!
Where can I start?… it's very very heavy, the anti hair wrap doesn't work, you have to put your hands inside to get dirt out, its suction is poor. I've had it less than a year and I'm hoi h to put it in the skip!

This is only partly true . The post motor filter is not washable and Iv e just bought one. Not happy as it states here they checked with manufacturer and is washable. 1 filter is but not other. Resulting in have to pay out 8 pd avarage on top of hoover price. Vax need to make this clearer. I had one years ago and cos of this ive never bought one since till now on the advise given here ,and find info is wrong.. also attachment missing so think mines going back to argos.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Vax Air Lift 2 Pet Corded Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner: I can confirm that the filter can be washed, using warm water only and left to dry for 24 hours before refitting to the machine.
