I purchased the new model Vax Air Lift 2 Pet and is so good I have purchased another one for use upstairs. The two rollers are a great feature and this vacuum is fantastic at lifting pet hair. Took a bit of getting used to the swivel action but I have now mastered this and it does make the vacuum flow. Cord is slightly shorter but I guess this is to keep the weight down. Still a reasonable length. Love how it glides from solid floor onto rugs. Am a happy customer and appreciate the thought that has gone into the new model.

Had for a while not as good as the old model Doesn't seem to be as powerful, smaller cleaning head that love's making fur twists on the carpet

I bought this hoover as my last Vax had given up. It’s so good for picking up dog hair. Slightly heavier than my last one.

Disappointed Customer
Looks like the quality of build is not as good as older models. Electrical connection has been reduced much shorter wire. Wire is now connected at the base making it easy to walk on cable while using the machine. Overall a disappointment

Vax upright cleaner
Bought this to replace a vacuum cleaner that died. First impression are good. Never had an upright cleaner. Will probably take a little getting used to.

Personally i am happy with the hoover with especially the removable main motor to hoover the stairs etc The wife thinks its a bit on the heavy side but overall likes the hoover for its versatility like the double brush bar

Having checked I can see this vacuum does not have a swivel head but an adjustable floorhead to get under the front of your sofas and units.

This is only partly true . The post motor filter is not washable and Iv e just bought one. Not happy as it states here they checked with manufacturer and is washable. 1 filter is but not other. Resulting in have to pay out 8 pd avarage on top of hoover price. Vax need to make this clearer. I had one years ago and cos of this ive never bought one since till now on the advise given here ,and find info is wrong.. also attachment missing so think mines going back to argos.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Vax Air Lift 2 Pet Corded Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner: I can confirm that the filter can be washed, using warm water only and left to dry for 24 hours before refitting to the machine.
