After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Thermos Metropolis Pump Pot - 1.9L: ''We are unable to state how long the contents will keep at 70 degrees as many factors can affect like ie - if the flask is pre heated, how hot the contents are to start with, how full etc.

A flask which is only partially full will not perform as well as a full flask.''

Our supplier has advised that the Thermos Metropolis Pump Pot - 1.9L can be used with descaler but please not to use any brushes/utensils to clean as the glass may shatter with contact. The most effective way to remove stains and to restore the flask to its original condition is to sterilise the product using a milton tablet (as used with baby's bottles) or adding a spoonful of bicarbonate soda to the warm soapy water. Alternatively two denture cleaning tablets dissolved in water can also be effective. Allow the flasks to stand overnight (or longer if possible) Rinse thoroughly before use. This cleaning method is very effective for removing difficult stains and often the product will be restored to its original condition.

After checking with the supplier, I can confirm this Thermos Metropolis Pump Pot can be used to keep any liquid either hot (Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Soup etc) or cold (water, squash, milk, etc) for 12hrs (Hot) or 24hrs (Cold) a day.

I have one that I purchased from elsewhere same size and it makes about 15 standard china cups of tea , ie has a big capacity xx
Also great for picnics etc as can be used for hot and cold drinks . Be careful not to knock otherwise it will damage inside hence Im looking at this as a replacement xx

You need to put warm water in for 5 minutes before you poor boiling water in its glass lined and you can shock it the boiling water can last 24 hours

I have investigated this for you and can confirm that this Thermos Metropolis Pump Pot requires you to heat up the drink first and pour into the flask, unless you want to serve cold drinks. It work like a standard thermos.

Yes just been camping and was very impressed to have filled it with boiling water at 4pm and still real hot for my coffee at 8am just hope it lasts longer than other glass lined flasks Ive previously had
