Pretty decent
Pretty decent flask, although because of the glass insulation you do have to be careful with it but other than that it’s pretty good

Good value for money.
I bought this to replace an identical model that got dropped and broken. These flasks have glass liners for good heat retainment but are not rugged. They kkeep the heat for 12 hours which is what I wanted

Would not recommend
Having read several mixed reviews I took a chance and purchased this flask for a recent holiday. As the flask is glass insulated there are specific instructions for pre-heating which I followed carefully. However, before being able to enjoy our first drink, the flask fell on the ground and the inside smashed to pieces!! Our previous Thermos flask had lasted about 15 years so we had hoped this one would last more than a couple of days!

Will have lots of uses
Bought for a long drive - we were so precious about where to put it in the car to avoid breaking it but it survived and the coffee was still above warm the next morning, exactly 12hours after making it. Although it’s too large to fit under our kitchen tap to ‘prime’ with hot water before adding boiling water (we will use a jug) we are looking forward to using it to reduce the amount of times we boil the kettle in a day, for keeping mulled wine warm without stewing it on the hob, for soups on a day out etc. etc. Both our parents had these glass style flasks when we were growing up so they have a nostalgia to them too.

Hi Priya,
Yes, you can put hot milk in the Thermos Mondial Flask - 1.8L. However, it’s important to note that milk can spoil if left at warm temperatures for too long. To ensure safety and freshness, it’s best to consume the hot milk within 4-6 hours.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello Gus,
The supplier has advised the following for the Thermos Mondial Flask - 1.8L:
The length of time a flask will stay hot is dependent on many factors and the process you take prior to filling it. For longer heat retention, flasks need to be preheated with boiling water for at least 5 minutes. You’d pour this water away and then the liquid you wish to keep in it must be quickly poured in piping hot immediately after, ideally from a microwave or kettle. Please note that adding cold milk for tea or coffee will quickly reduce the temperature. The flask should also be filled to the right up so as to ensure there's minimum air space.
As soon as it is then opened, it will cool as cold air will then get in. This shouldn’t be an issue if you use all of the contents upon the first opening. If not, you’ll find that, each time it is opened, it will be a little cooler.
The ambient temperature during the time the flask is still sealed will affect the performance too; very cold air at the location you're keeping it in will cause it to cool sooner.
Because of these factors, it is impossible for us to guarantee a specific temperature, or be exact on how long it’ll remain hot for. Also, unless you’re referring to the water being freshly boiled and poured straight in, it’d depend how hot the water is when it first goes in. Typically, boiling water when poured in will have a temperature of around 90 degrees or so. If left unopened, a Flask advising “Hot for 24 hours” would typically be around 45-50 degrees after this period if all the processes above were followed, but much depends on the ambient environment.
Thank you for using Q&A.
